Details

implement getPref (is available, but how do we use it?) and setPref calls from tests. Here is an overview of the tests we should investigate for fennectrolysis: http://elvis314.wordpress.com/2010/05/24/tests-that-require-privileged-access/. This requires cleaning up all tests that utilize xpconnect. I will create bugs that block this outlining the different problems we need to solve.
