Secure IMAP certificate dialogs, and general SSL issues for multiple users

Details
When setting up a secure IMAP account for the first time, two dialogs appear.
The first tells you about the certificate being used by the IMAP server, the
second asks how you want to accept that certificate. Note that my certificate
is not from a recognized authority (that shouldn't matter -- it works fine w/
Netscape).
On the first dialog, the "View" button works (showing the certificate in a
seperate dialog), but "Next" (go onto the next dialog) clears part of the
current dialog, but it doesn't disappear, and the next dialog doesn't appear.
If I click on the "X" window decoration, the first dialog goes away, and the
second dialog appears. I can change the radio selection buttons on this dialog
(how long I want to accept this certificate), and the "help" button brings up a
help dialog.
But, niether the "finish" nor "cancel" buttons work on the second dialog. End
result is: I can't get to my secure IMAP mail.
In general, there seems to be a problem installing PSM for a multi-user
system... i.e. I want to install one /opt/mozilla, and allow all system users to
use it.
Installing PSM must be done as the user who installed mozilla (which would be
okay if that user was root, then following PSM installation, ssl worked for all
users, but that doesn't work). I don't want a seperate installation of Mozilla
for each user.

Thanks, Chris, but I believe that these bugs are already documented.
46253 - "Events for child windows of the security advisor are broken"
49507 - "psm does not work , when run as a different in unix"
36007 - "Mozilla crashes when trying to install PSM as non-root user"
