It seems that all tabs have this problem; not just the "new tab" tab.

If you look at the image above, you can see that it seems to have had the right side chopped off. This will most likely be fixed by bug 570279 when it lands.

I confirm this bug also for at least MacOSX.
You should adjust "Platform: x86 Windows 7" to at least "Platform: x86 Windows 7 Mac OSX" or to "Platform: x86 All" in the bug's information.

See also https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/Projects/New_Theme/Timeline .
That page should also be adjusted with respect to this bug and reflecting the outstanding bugs on Mac platform an Linux platform.
For instance only the [Windows] Theme Requirements (in order of priority) incl. screenshots mentions Bug 570279 and Bug 570282, although these two bugs also do apply on Mac OSX and Linux as well concerning "Tabs on Top" (Tabs on Bottom are curved, Tabs on Top are not curved) -- compare 1st screenshot (Tabs on Top) with 2nd screenshot (Tabs on Bottom) of either platform.

I'm experiencing weird things about this bug:
If the new tab button is next to an app tab, it's missing the outer curve.
If i open two new tabs, the outer curve comes back.
If i have no app tabs, the outer curve is always presented.
Win7, http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/71e8b5aee972
Anyone confirm?

Summary: NewTab "tab" Missing Outer Curve → New Tab Button (on Tab Bar) Missing Outer Curve

This file is a modified version of the currently used tab.png of the default Classic theme. Having the outer-curvature set, this require no more advanced CSS operation for Firefox to fix this bug.

I think the only way to really fix this bug (without making the background of the tabs an image as well) is by remaking the tabs in SVG, like they have been in the Mac version.
