The build failure is caused because it tries to compile target (32-bit) xpidl, but it shouldn't. I don't see why is this happening. In case of cross compilation, it's enabled in xpcom/typelib/xpidl/Makefile.in only when LIBIDL_LIBS is not defined and I can see that it's not defined in autoconf.mk.

    
    

    
  
Sorry just figured this out. Turns out I use the environment variable BUILD_TARGET in my build scripts which conflicts with this makefile
