Details
Build 2000101720 Mtrunk.
Sun JRE1.3
Currently scrolling in Mozilla is very good, pages scroll fast and fluid.
But after a page with applets in it, the scrolling and the refresh of a page
become slow (even after closing the page with applets).

http://java.sun.com/ used to create this problem (in fact every page with
applets did).
I've been away from my computer for some days and it seems that recent builds do
not have this problem anymore.

Well the scrolling performance has decreased in build 2000102320.
to see it :
go to http://www.mozilla.org/ and scroll the window.
then go to http://java.sun.com and scroll

Gilles Durys, are you still seeing this? Would like a little update for this, as
no other bug like this one has been reported on bugzilla (or it's been fixed, no
new or assigned or reopened bugs). However there are a few bugs about other
scrolling problems with OJI and none of them mentions slow scrolling.
Fabian.

I tried with a 20001202xx trunk build (dont't remember exactly) on a win98
machineand it runs ok.
Currently I'm using 2000120308 trunk on a Nt machine and I still see the slow
scrolling when I go to http://java.sun.com/
Maybe it's only a problem on NT, I'll check on a win98 with the same build.

Definitely a NT problem.
I tried with 2000120308 trunk on a Win98 with the same JRE (Sun's 1.3) and I
have no problems.

well, I am using a NT, 550Mhz with today's trunk build. I cannot see any
noticeable change in scrolling on a webpage with java and one w/o java :( .
What's ur m/c configuration, Gilles? Thnx!

My machine is a Pentium 3 450MHz 256 Megs
NT4 Sp6a
Sun's JRE 1.3
Anyway I tried at home under 98 and 2000 and I have no problems. I guess it's my
machine.
