New Add-ons Manager was pushed to mozilla-central, "addonsmgr" now unneeded. See bug 542910 comment 67.

Reproducible: Always
Blocks: 542910
I was under the impression that Dave intended to use it again for testing performance improvements in the API.

Dave - wanna clarify?
That was the reason why I have asked on bug 542910 instead of filing the bug immediately.

Not sure where this came from, I don't want to rush into removing this right now, it's true that perhaps we could do without it so if there is a real resource issue then it could probably go but I did have plans to use it for some of Ben's work while we update mobile to work with it and I was planning to use it to test the landing of Test Pilot before the first beta.
Mossop - we're about to turn on temporary "twig" branches that can be booked out by devs for short term use. Basically they will be set up exactly as addonsmgr is right now, and you will only need to book the time slot on a wiki page and ask IT to clone to that repo (hg.mozilla.org/projects/{maple, cedar, birch}) from wherever your current repo is. Then you will have access to all the resources that addonsmgr has now. Will this work for you when the time comes to use this branch again?

See bug 551528 for details on those branches.

This sounds good? Can we hold off on closing down the addonsmgr branch until that becomes available though, I was probably actually going to be landed Ben's work in it today
Sure thing. When those go live we'll come back to this and close up shop.
Depends on: 551528
Mossop - how are things looking now for turning off addonsmgr branch and using the disposable branches as needed?

Yeah I think you can turn this off now. The things I was expecting to have to use it for ended up going a different way anyway.

removes addonsmgr from buildbot default branch configs

This reads fine but doesn't apply to the current tip of default. Please merge carefully.

landed a combined variation of the two above patches (carrying forward nthomas' r+ since there was no actual change in the content)

Does it mean that the project branch on hg.mozilla.org will stay forever or how is it tracked?

Also when will the folders on the FTP folder be removed:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/tinderbox-builds/

Isn't it live yet?

That's up to the developers IMO.

I've removed those.

addonsmgr is merged to mozilla-central, if that's what you mean.

Dave, do you have plans to re-use the repository or can we also get it removed?
Project branch has been removed a while back marking as verified fixed.

Do we wanna keep the repository at http://hg.mozilla.org/projects/addonsmgr/?

Probably yes, looking how we want to schedule our releases in the future and have more concentrated work on project branches before new features get merged to trunk.
