Accented letters such as à ó do not work in gmail when writting messages. This only happens in the body form (subject: form and to: form do work). Also, one click with the mouse in the body form solves the problem and accents work again.
 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open gmail and click on "compose mail"
2. Move to the body form by clicking "tab" key twice (important, if clicked using the mouse accents *do* work).
3. Try to write accented letters such as à, é, etc.

Actual Results:  
Accented letters do not work, again, clicking the for with the mouse solves the problem

Expected Results:  
Accented letters should work using only the keyboard to set the focus in the body form

Using firefox 3.6.3 under mac os 10.6.3

The bug *only* happens if "rich formatting" is set. In plain text accents always work. 

Also, I tested it with google chrome and safari and both work as expected.
