It was suggested we look in the collector logs to see if any 500 errors were occurring before June 7. If so, that may account for the reduced amount of crashes (and subsequent jump) being investigated in bug 571118

I have collector error and access logs from June 6 - 8. The number of errors in all these error logs is pretty small, in the range 50-80 errors per hour over the whole period. I'm putting together some graphs for enlightenment about trends.
