Items in Bookmarks->Bookmarks toolbar->Most Visited are duplicated every time a new tab is opened.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a clean profile
2.Open browser using that profile
3.Go to Bookmarks->Bookmarks toolbar->Most Visited. Two items are available.
4.Open a new tab.
Actual Results:  
4 items are now available in Bookmarks->Bookmarks toolbar->Most Visited.
If opening a new tab, 6 items will be available and so on (see screenshot)


Expected Results:  
Two items are available (the ones from step 2).

do you have a regression range? Was it working on yesterday's nightly for example?

I don't recall seeing this on yesterday's build (but I might be wrong). I've deleted .dmg file from yesterday. 
Could you point me to a ftp location from which I can get the installer and see if the problem occurs?

I tried reproducing with current nightly but was unable... How do you open the new tab, from where?

I've tried on yesterday's build and the one from 06/10/2010.
On both builds it reproduces.

It seems that it is not necessary to open new tabs. The second time Bookmarks->Bookmarks toolbar->Most recent is visited, items are duplicated, the third time, 6 items are available and so on.

So steps to reproduce could be:

1.Create a clean profile
2.Open browser using that profile
3.Go to Bookmarks->Bookmarks toolbar->Most Visited. Two items are available.
4.Go again to Bookmarks->Bookmarks toolbar->Most Visited. 
5.Open third time Bookmarks->Bookmarks toolbar->Most Visited.

After step 4, 4 items are available, after step 5, 6 items are available.

This bug was reported using a pre-release version of Firefox 4. Now that Firefox 4.0.1 final has been released, can you please update and retest your bug? A fresh profile would be a good starting place to test,
