User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; de; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; de; rv:1.9.1.10) Gecko/20100512 Thunderbird/3.0.5 I am trying to save a video attachement to a local folder. The email has been sent from an iphone 3GS. The mail is 4.2MB. When saving the attached file I check the file size with the explorer. It is always ~700KB and the video is corrupt. No error message shown from thunderbird while saving. Using Thunderbird 2 with the same email on the same server the attachment is successfully saved with a file size of about 2.3MB. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click right mouse button and choose "save attachment" 2. choose folder to save 3. check file size of store file in the explorer Actual Results: The saved file from the email is only ~700KB and not 2.3MB. I have received about 10 emails with video attachments fro the iphone. Files are always corrupt. Expected Results: The save file should have the same size as saving it with thunderbird 2. How does the mail ends up in your local folder, via imap or pop ? Is there an finishing boundary ?

(In reply to comment #1) > How does the mail ends up in your local folder, via imap or pop ? > > Is there an finishing boundary ? IMAP. I can see the attachment window in the programm. So I can right-click the attached file and save it. But I never see the "download" window as I had it with thunderbird 2.
frank, can you reproduce this using a current version of thunderbird? if you are unable to reproduce, please close by setting stats to resolved, and resolution to WORKSFORME or another appropriate setting. If you are able to reproduce, add new details, and a testcase if one does not already exist in the bug report.
With the latest version the bug no longrr exists.
