User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 Scenario: 1. Open all history 2. Select Last 7 Days 3. Scroll the list and select random item 4. Open in new window or tab What should happen: 1. Link should be opened in a new window or tab 2. History list should not lose current position What happens: 1. Link is opened in a new window or tab 2. History tree selection is reset to Today and history list focus is lost Why is this a bug? User is trying to figure out which of several pages from certain time period is the one they want. The way it is now, user has to keep selecting Last 7 Days and scrolling the (potentially large) list of links to find the one they need. They could use the search feature but it is possible they don't remember the right keyword and the only way to find what they want is by looking at all the links from that particular time period. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open all history 2. Select Last 7 Days 3. Scroll the list and select random item 4. Open in new window or tab Actual Results: 1. Link is opened in a new window or tab 2. History tree selection is reset to Today and history list focus is lost Expected Results: 1. Link should be opened in a new window or tab 2. History tree and list should not lose current selection

Excuse me, but the other bug you pointed me to is marked as RESOLVED FIXED while it obviously isn't.
WORKAROUND: (until release 4.0) 1.Open Library > Expand Histry in left pane 2.Right click on "Last 7 Days" and choose copy in context menu. 3.Past into Unsorted Bookmarks or else where in the left Pane 4.Expand the pasted bookmark. and open url in the right pane.
