User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100611 Firefox/3.6.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100611 Firefox/3.6.4 I know this bug has been reported previously, but it is (surprisingly) STILL here, even after the very recent 3.6.4 update? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open OSX Mail.app 2. Click on a link within an email 3. Firefox launches and opens TWO windows Expected Results: Firefox should launch with inly ONE window
Thanks for a great browser by the way!
Does this happen in safe mode? With a new profile?
(In reply to comment #2) > Does this happen in safe mode? With a new profile? If Firefox is already open when clicking on the external link, this problem does not occur. After that, already I'm out of my depth!! Is there a way to make Firefox launch into safe mode when that launch is triggered via a link from another app rather than by double-clicking the Firefox app itself? I'm afraid I don't know how to create a new profile without losing my existing one? Sorry to be so nowhere - I'm a bit of a newbie at the Firefox bug stuff!
If you disable all of your extensions do you still see this issue?
Yep. I know tons of people have been experiencing this bug. There's loads of it on the net in forums etc. I'm wondering whether a fix was attempted for 3.6.4, or whether it hasn't been addressed yet.
