If you go to google.com and search for results and open a bunch of results in tabs. Then go to google reader and click a bunch of articles. The tabs for those articles appear after the search results.

This happens because you're always in the same tab even after switching pages/domains.

Arguably, this could be the right behavior in some situations:
1) search on google for "topic" and open a few results in tabs
2) go to bing (in the same tab) and seach for "topic" and open in tabs

ux-mode-error for users expecting the tabs to be opened next to the current tab, which happens most of the time but not after switching links.
This and related problems would have been avoided if Firefox had adopted the more predictable tab open behaviour A-A3-A2-A1-B instead of the current A-A1-A2-A3-B
