The scroll wheel icon should look like the white (grey lined) circle with the up- and down arrows inside the circle. I don't remember if it was normal before or if it always has been like this, but the scroll wheel icon in this pre-beta version of FireFox is a completely black square, although not very big.

A white (grey lined) circle with the up- and down arrows inside the circle.
I am using a HP laptop, running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. In FireFox 3.6.4, this issue does not arise. I tried a quick search with the keywords regarding this bug/issue/problem, but no relevant results, whatsoever.

Overall, the pre-beta version of FireFox is pretty stable; i haven't had a single BSOD related to the pre-beta. In a YouTube clip, a user mentioned "3.9". Is that true? I mean, is there really even a pre-beta version like 3.9, compared to 3.7 that I use right now? Which pre-beta version is the latest released?

Finally, I can not confirm wether this is actually a bug, issue or just a feature I haven't turned on yet in the pre-beta version of FireFox that I am using.

If you're not a developer (as I can see that you ask how to update to the latest daily one), you shouldn't run nightly builds. Sometimes a build will problems, which might be fixed the next day. Don't be surprised if the problems are so severe that it becomes completely unusable. But in general, these problems are rare. This time, it was a small problem for 1 day. The refreshing problems (a white square when you right-click on the content) were worse.
Note : this will probably become a 3.7 build, unless it gets renamed of course. There's no such thing as a 3.9 (next version might be 4.0), you might be mistaken with the Gecko version, which is 1.9.3.

1. I never tried to download a 3.9 version, because that does not exist and probably would contain viruses.
2. I also had the white box problems, but I wasn't sure if it was a bug or not, or if it simply was a computer or graphics card drivers problem, so I didn't report that issue.
3. I asked how to update it, because I wasn't 100% sure if I was running a nighly build or not.
4. I have only been experiencing minor issues, most of them which have been solved.
5. I still have FireFox 3.6.4, so if any serious problems or bugs occur (such as BSOD:s and crashes) then I will go back to that official browser.
6. I report these bugs and issues, just to make sure they don't occur in the final builds.
7. The nighly builds of FireFox are a great benefit for me, as they support the "WebM" HTML5 video (and audio) format, and YouTube uses that format (including H.264, I believe), and I am surfing and watching a lot of videos on YouTube.
8. Thanks for fixing these minor issues (although there is always room for enhancements).
9. My issues (including this bug report from myself) have been solved in the June 26, 2010 release. Therefore, I am now marking this post (including this whole bug report) as "VERIFIED" in the left list, and "FIXED" in the right list.
10. Finally: Thanks in advance!
