Details

I am using Ubuntu with Te (locale for Telugu). When I access English pages with plain text format, they are rendered in fixed space, with proportional spacing fonts. The character encoding is shown as utf-8. Changing the preferences to allow the pages to use their own fonts or setting default encoding as Western (ISO8859-15) does not help. URL for plain text page: http://svn.gnome.org/svn/pango/trunk/README
Even bugzilla edit pages also have the same problem
Chrome (5.0.375.126)does not have this problem, as it uses GTK+ Theme. This issue should be addressed with higher priority.
Severity: normal → critical
Resolved in Firefox 4 Beta 8.

Fixed is only used when a specific checkin fixes the problem (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#status). Marking as WFM as the issue is resolved, but we don't know which checkin fixed it.
