57632 - extremly slow perfomance and crash when using window.open

I have a very simple webpage that uses javascript to open a new window, by using 
window.open. The performace is soo slow. It seems that Mozilla doesn't execute 
the javascript until you move over some of the buttons with the mouse.
I'll attach the very simple test case.
I'm also sometimes experiencing crashes with this testcase.

Using build 2000102120

To reproduce:
1) save the two attached html files
2) Load the first html file and press the "OpenWin" link
3) Nothing happens and the throbber goes away
4) Wait 20 secs and now move your mouse over the "stop" button with pressing it.
5) Mozilla seems to start executing the script and sometimes crashes!

This is a dup of bug 55032. However, as this contains test cases, i'll leave it 
open.
