I tried printing the monthly calendar grid to Tabloid paper, in both Portrait and Landscape modes. When I print to Landscape mode, it formats in Portrait mode. When I print in Portrait mode, it formats in Landscape mode. Only part of the calendar gets printed out, and it is positioned and oriented all wrong.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.In mail tab, set "Page Setup" to Tabloid paper, in either portrait or landscape mode. (Note that the "Page Setup" option is not available in the Calendar tab.
2.Click on Calendar tab, then File -> Print.
3.Set to Monthly Grid layout and print to tabloid printer.
Actual Results:  
When the paper is oriented 11 high by 17 wide, the calendar is oriented to 17 high by 11 wide, so I only see the bottom of the calendar. When the paper is oriented 17 high by 11 wide, the calendar is oriented to 11 high by 17 wide, so I only see the right half of the calendar.

Expected Results:  
The whole calendar should appear on the page, matching the width of the paper.

This may be an easy fix -- it looks like the height & width parameters are reversed in the formatting.

Works fine for me using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; de; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100608 Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1.

Therefore I suspect that it is no Lightning issue. Maybe there is an issue with the underlying print functionality in Thunderbird or your system? Have tested printing e.g. a mail message from Thunderbird?

Oops -- you're right! When I print a message on tabloid, I get the same problem. Is this a bug with Thunderbird? When I send other files to the printer, like spreadsheets, they are formatted correctly.

In that case this would probably be a Mozilla Core error, moving to Toolkit.

I can print to a PDF file and everything format correctly.
When I send the file to the printer, the Tabloid option in not available, I have to use 11x17, but the stuff comes out on Letter paper instead.
This is with Thunderbird 8.0 and Lightning 1.0.

I don't have this problem any more, I'd upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 and higher versions of Thunderbird, Firefox etc.
I'll close this for now.
