Every time I am given the option to print from a link (as in Google Maps) or to enlarge a picture to view better detail Firefox will not follow the command. I must open another browser (not Firefox) and go through the same process.

Can you please update to Firefox 3.6.13 or later, and create a new profile using the above link. Then, if you still see this problem please give more specific steps to reproduce. "Click on Link" aren't specific enough for me to follow.
