Steps to Reproduce
---------------------------------------
1. open a new tab using the + button (newtab)
2. open a bookmark using the menus or
3. load a page typing a sites address or just click the homepage button
What should have happened:
---------------------------------------
the tab title should change to the sites title
What actually happened:
----------------------------------------
it stays "New Tab".
although if you switch to another tab or open a new tab the title changes to the sites title but single clicking the tab still doesn't change the title.
there also looks to be an overlapping between the labels of "New Tab" and the site's title on the first character . that is to say the first letter "N" of "New Tab" isn't really an "N" but a few more pixels are showing under it.

I'm seeing the same issue here, using the official Firefox 4.0 Beta 1 on Windows XP. I'm attaching a screenshot, where you can see the last tab loaded the favicon for CNN and also shows part of the first character of the page title, but then displays "New Tab".

Do you see the same without a Persona applied?

I too see this issue whenever a Persona is applied on Windows XP. All Personas (that I have tried) seem to be associated with this problem. It has not occurred with the default theme without a Persona.
