With correct fonts installed, Firefox on Mac still has trouble rendering Oriya glyphs in the UI.
Mac OS-native parts of the UI are displayed correctly (cf. screenshot 1), but the XUL interface isn't (cf. screenshot 2).

Correction. Manoj noted that the glyphs are displayed separately with the joiner rendered as a separate glyph.

Which font is being used for Oriya? Does it display web content correctly?
John, do we still have the code from bug 361986 that prevents us using fonts for complex scripts if the font doesn't have AAT tables? I would have thought we don't need that anymore with CoreText, but perhaps it never got removed?

For Oriya "Lohit" font is used.
It has no problem in displaying web contents.
Screenshot looks better than attachment #456596 [details].
Can anybody confirm for Oriya with attached screenshot?

Resolving, as this is fixed on the OS side. WORKSFORME sounds adequate.
