I close the window and Firefox seems to work OK, but I am puzzled as to what I have to do to make it right. Thanks! Your products are awesome. Rich Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Opening new Mozilla Firefox Beta 4.0 causes a window to open with: what happened:TypeError: Components.classes['@mozilla.org/extensions/manager,1'] is undefined Seems to work fine with this exception.

You have an extension installed that is incompatible with the Firefox 4 betas. You should disable your extensions until the problem goes away and then notify the extension author so they can update it.
