58096 - 'Loading' message does not appear while loading tabs

Using today's branch build on windows, linux. 

Steps: 
1 Start the browser with a new/old profile
2 If What's Related tab is not open, click on it.
3 Now, In the url bar, type www.lycos.com and hit ENTER
4 Observe that nothing displays in the tab and a blank space is seen
5 No, Loading' message appers as it used to do earlier

I am consistently getting this tab on lycos.com and aol.com. I wil ltry to find 
out another scenario to easily reproduce this, let me know.

looks like this does not happen on unix
nor does it happen on debug builds.
Please tell me if you can get it to happen on linux.

On linux branch, either I see the tab blank or get the results in one go 
(without the 'Loading' message). Pls drop by and I can show this if u want.

Note that this bug has been narrowed to refer just to the fact that we are not
getting a "loading" message.

The more important bug for rtm is bug 58099, which is marked rtm need info.  If
this fix went in with the bug 58099, that would be ideal, but if we can only fix
one of these for rtm, it should be bug 58099.

The loading message does appear but usually the page loads
so fast you don't see it.   Making works for me.

For the records : I still do not see this message appearing and the tab is 
loading pretty slow sometimes and I just get a blank 'What's Related'panel for a 
while before the listing actually spews out.

matt: modems are slow, it can take anywhere from 2-4 seconds for some tabs to
load, in these cases, a blank white canvas probably isn't approprate, unless of
course we've recieved a BODY that happens to have a white background. Because of
this, bug 58066 isn't really related. Same issue perhaps, but drawing a blank
white canvas when all you have is an empty body is no big deal.

Anyway, supposing I were to want to start poking around, where would I start
looking?

I've been going back and forth on this one.
Can someone get me a good testcase.  I'm trying and I can't reproduce it.
I'm moving it out to .9 and if I don't get a reproducable testcase
I'm going to close it.   I've spent some cycles trying to see this.
