Why is there no "see my bugs" option on the main bugzilla screen?

I often want to check on bugs that I have filed with bugzilla. To
do this I go the the search screen and look for bugs filed by me.
While this is not too much trouble it would be a lot more useful
if the main bugzilla screen had a link to that would search for
each of the bugs I filed automatically.

thanks

There is a way to make bugzilla memorize useful queries for you. Isn't that
good enough?
I would think that this is one of the actions that most developers will
want to do "right away". One of the options on the main page is a single
entry box where you can enter a bug number. The reason for this is that
you should not need to use a more complex search page when you already
know the bug number. I argue that if you do not want to look up a bug by
number the next most common task will be to look at the bugs you have
filed in the past. A "see bugs I have filed" option would make that a
lot easier. To be honest it took some effort to figure out how to use
the bugzilla search form because there are a TON to options.

Actually, much more common is to want to see "all bugs assigned to me". In my
experience, it's actually relatively rare to want to go see all the bugs that
you've created.

Your request is also complicated by the fact that the main page is in fact a
page, not a CGI script. So it can't determine if you have logged in or not, and
so it can't decide whether "show my bugs" is a request that makes sense or not.

I am leaving this bug opened, as a RFE, but it still does not strike me as a
serious lack. If you are going to use the bugsystem, it is pretty much vital to
learn how the query page works anyway.

Ok, but remember that complex things like the searching system seem
to make more sense after you use them a lot. Just look at how many
people are able to get work done under Win95. That is not because
it is easy to use, they are just used to it.
