(Whiteboard: [platform-rel-Google] [platform-rel-Gmail])

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 I access the gmail.com page and sign in and open enough e-mails that those are the only ones that show up in the "Recent pages" when I hover over the triangle to the right of the forward arrow. At that stage, if I sign out of the gmail page, I am unable to go back to previous pages when clicking on the back button or choosing any page on the Recent pages list. I can open a new page using Control-N and surf to different pages and be able to go forward or backward in the Recent pages list. It seems to be a problem on the gmail.com page only so far. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Login to gmail 2.View 15 or more e-mails and sign out 3.The Recent pages list shows previous pages and lets you choose but the list remains the same and you do not move backwards in the history. Actual Results: I could not go backwards in history from the Recent pages list. I can open another window and that works fine but if I repeat the above steps, I can reproduce the issue again. Seems to be a problem restricted to sites from which you are logged off? Expected Results: I did not have this issue in v3.6.6 and earlier. Clicking on the back arrow would move back a page in the Recent pages list and show the gmail login screen since I had logged out of gmail. But the recent pages list would have moved up by one page in the history list. When I click on the bottom-most link in the recent pages list, it would show up the pages before that in the Recent pages list. That way, I could move all the way back to the page I was on before I accessed the gmail.com website. The program does not crash or hang up. I can still open new web pages. I just can't go backwards using the Recent pages list.

Do you still see this problem when using current release of firefox?

Yes, I still see this problem with Firefox 8.0.1. I do not see this issue in the latest Internet Explorer or Google Chrome for Windows XP.
