Automatic and Manual Install of Flash Fails even though it says installation succeeded in manual update

If you go to about:plugins, is flash listed there? Are you sure you are installing the Firefox version of flash, and not the ActiveX?

Flash is NOT listed in about:plugins - and there is no way to get it from any of the associated help pages, which all link to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ 

For example, I go to youtube, click a video.  FF recommends I go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to download the player.

I'm closing a lot of bugs which are filed as Adobe Flash bugs which are either irrelevant, not actionable, or not serious enough to track in the Mozilla bug tracker. For the most part, Flash bugs should be filed in Adobe bugbase, and we'll only track a few highly-critical issues in the Mozilla tracker.
