Bug 562622 adds the Recent Updates pane, with a hardcoded timespan. Would be nice to have this as a hidden preference.

The current timespan is 48 hours. For extensions that have updates only once or twice a year, that is far too short. This RFE is definitely needed. However, I question why this has to be a "hidden preference". Why can this not be set by a user interface?

Whether or not to have a UI for this pref would be the subject of up to three different bugs, all dependent on this one, and in Firefox::Preferences, SeaMonkey::Preferences and/or Thunderbird::Preferences. This bug, in Toolkit::Add-ons_Manager, is about the common backend.
