User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 In the user name field when signed out at the URL http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com if you have more than one item in autocomplete that are all identical aside from case (e.g. helloworld, HelloWorld) and you want to choose the camel case one, for example, it won't let you. It doesn't matter how you try and exit the field, on blur it will revert to the lower case version. It doesn't matter if you use the autocomplete saved version or type the whole thing, it will still choose the lower case. It's also not JavaScript as I turned that off just in case. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com and make sure you're signed out 2. Get helloworld and HelloWorld into the autocomplete memory, helloworld above HelloWorld. 3. Remove focus from the box once you have entered HelloWorld Actual Results: Text in the form field changes to helloworld Expected Results: Text in the field should stay as HelloWorld This is important as this site (and I'm sure many others) has case sensitive usernames. It would be impossible to log in if you didn't know how to remove autocomplete entries - something I only found out a few months ago despite using Firefox daily for around 7 years now.
Do you have passwords saved in Firefox for the username or is it just form history? I can't reproduce this since I am able to type either entry when I have both in form history. I didn't check when a password is saved. For the password manager case, this sounds like bug 516037.

I didn't check when a password is saved. For the password > manager case, this sounds like bug 516037. Yep, I had a password saved. It sounds like this is a dupe of bug 516037. Marking it as such.
