I think we should be able to download a plug-in
as a file or an exe file, in order to be able
to install it over several Mozillas without
downloading it each time we install a new machine
with Mozilla, or get the last version.

Perhaps a "Save to file" button in addition to the "OK" and "Cancel" buttons in
the xpi installation confirmation dialog?

Per discussion in the IRC chatroom and with Boris Zbarsky, I am confirming this.
Downloading a plugin at each update is too heavy.

this is probably an xpinstall issue, in regard to the addition of a "download
and save" button
