Details

Firefox currently displays a dialog box to confirm if the user would like to set Firefox as their default browser.  This should be converted to a home tab snippet notification (or alternatively a taller notification bar if the user if the user has set a different start tab).

Asa was concerned that a snippet wouldn't be noticeable enough, and that this would result in users failing notice the prompt and losing us as their default unintentionally (other browsers can be aggressive in stealing default associations).
There are various bugs around concerning the default browser dialog. They should be marked RESOLVED *** when there is a decision on the approach.
