As per bug 581551, the Web-Tech blog is closed and needs to be moved to static files from the current Wordpress installation.

One website has an explanation of how to move a WP site to static files (I have not tried it myself.)

I thought about adding one final post to Web-Tech pointing readers to Hacks.mozilla.org but wasn't sure about that.  If everyone agrees on that, that would be a nice final post?

Sounds good to me, maybe we could have a note in there with the rss link to hacks too, so people following on readers etc can easily transition?

Fine with me. It'd be great if we had some sense of RSS hits for that blog, but a post before we just 302 it would be a nicety.

Does anyone have experience converting a wordpress site to static files? If there is nothing better I'll just use wget I suppose.

Web-Tech is closed completely so anytime is fine.

web-tech is static files now. wget -m -p -np 'https://developer.mozilla.org/web-tech/' was used scrape the blog.
