User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100402 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100402 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.3

i have multiple webmin-installations on different servers (debian)
the ssl-encryption of webmin is enabled.

when i try to open https://webmin-server:10000/ for a while there is only a blank page while loading. after some time i get a timeout message or "connection reset"

in the error log of webmin i'm getting messages like these:
Bad Request : This web server is running in SSL mode. Try the URL <a href='https://webmin-server:10000/'>https://webmin-server:10000/</a> instead.<br>

with other browsers like konqueror or opera on linux or ie or opera on windows everything works perfect. (login appears)

with FF 3.5.3 (linux), 3.5.? (windows) and 3.5.11 (linux) everything works fine
with FF 3.6.8 (linux+windows) hangs like described above

tested webmin-versions: 1.510, 1.510-2

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. setup webmin (http://webmin.com/download.html)
2. enable ssl for webmin
3. try to access webmin with firefox 3.6.8 through https://<webminserver>:10000/
Actual Results:
most tries result in an error-message. sometimes (after some minutes) the login is shown, but without any images (text-only).

Expected Results:
the webmin-login should be displayed. (in the same way like without ssl)
Version: unspecified → 3.5 Branch
Is this still an issue on current Firefox versions (23,24,25)?
Flags: needinfo?(florian)
this issue is still the same with firefox 22.
maybe the webmin-version is buggy.
i upgraded webmin to current 1.620
with default config. no problem anymore.

if enabling cert-based user-login, server doesnt start correctly.
