User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/6.0.472.36 Safari/534.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0b3) Gecko/20100805 Firefox/4.0b3 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0C) A modern day web browser should be focused on making life easier to navigate the internet. In Google Chrome, all I have to do to access my most used sites, such as facebook, all I have to do is press "f" then "enter". If I wish to use Firefox as my default browser, I have to press "f", fiddle around on the keyboard and find the down key, then finally press "enter" before I can get to Facebook. In that amount of wasted time, Chrome has already started to load my desired webpage whereas Firefox leaves me with the sense of frustration and wasted time. I believe the best way to implement this would be for Firefox to continue to provide the drop-down menu as it currently does, with the exception that a preference is placed on URL's stored in the browser's memory and the most visited site is auto completed as it is in Chrome. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: The user is forced to either type out the entire address or fumble around to find the down key on the keyboard.

New features definitely don't "block" security updates on stable branches.
This doesn't block Firefox 4, either. Limi, I think this is a duplicate, yeah? Can you mark it? I know you're looking at the original bug.

Yes, duplicate of bug 566489. Talking to sdwilsh tomorrow to get an idea of how hard this would be to fix.
