When selecting a sync'd tab in remote tabs window, the highlighted color is black. But then it doesnt open the site
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux armv7l; en-US; rv:2.0b4pre) Gecko/20100820 Namoroka/4.04pre Fennec/2.0a1pre
Repro:
1) install Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux armv7l; en-US; rv:2.0b4pre) Gecko/20100820 Namoroka/4.04pre Fennec/2.0a1pre
2) log into your sync account and connect. make sure you have sync'd some tabs
3) click tabs from other computers
4) search for a tab, and click it. Verify its highlighted black. Then also verify it does not open the site at all.
Expected:
- Highlight a tab and can still see the site, as well as opens the site in a new tab
Actual:
- black highlight, no new tab opened.

flagging for 2.0 triage. This is basic functionality that should technically block the alpha, but i'll be okay if we push to beta 1

Ah, found the culprit. I hit this scenario because i also had the Sync 1.4.4 extension installed.
removing blocking flag. But This is still a bug because we should block the sync extension from being downloaded for 2.0, else it will cause all sorts of trouble. But its not a fennec blocker, as i presume we will stop version support for the 2.0b4pre builds.

It seems we can't block the Sync add-on from downloading (and even installing) in Fennec 2.0 because there might be new and improved features. BUT, the overlay and stylesheets overrides should _not_ affect the Fennec UI.
CC'ing Mardak in case this is a bug in the Sync chrome manifest.

Perhaps we need to somehow prevent both fennec and the add-on from colliding -- I suppose correctly disabling built-in functionality when the add-on is installed.

This is dealt with by bug 572536. The current incarnation of the add-on should just disable its UI on Fennec >1.* and Firefox >4.0b3. Future versions of the add-on may do something else (e.g. amend the built-in UI).
