User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 Almost all applications on MacOS X, including Safari and Chrome, will respond to the "⌘⇧/" shortcut by highlighting the Help->Search menu shortcut. This is useful because then I can hit that shortcut, type the name of a menu command (or bookmark) that I've forgotten, and instantly both execute it and see where it is in the menu structure. Firefox instead brings up a web page, and doesn't even focus the search form on that page, so I can't type anything to look for help on it. Reproducible: Always

I couldn't find a specific mention in any release notes, but this behavior appears to have been changed at some point since it was initiallly reported, so I believe this bug can be resolved. The current behavior is to open the help menu on macOS when that keyboard shortcut is invoked.

Severity: minor → S4

On Firefox 132.0b5 (aarch64) in "Safe Mode" ("Troubleshoot Mode"? I held option when launching and until prompted to confirm I wanted to open in "troubleshooting mode"), the cmd+shift+/ (or command + ?) unreliably opens a new tab with https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox?as=u&utm_source=inproduct first it starts to open the Help menu but then that flashes away and it opens the tab.
