Our goal for including a news feed (RSS/ATOM) in the live bookmark is to demonstrate dynamic, changing and relevant content. We would suggest you choose something your users are interested in and that is locally relevant. The guidelines for making recommendations are on <https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Firefox/Productization>. By default this is the same as en-US, which is BBC news.

Kerim, do you have any suggestions?

The implementation is done via a change of the redirect on mozilla.com, and is a server-side change only.

The best overall news portal in Bosnia and Herzegovina is Sarajevo-X (http://www.sarajevo-x.com/). Maybe we could use their RSS as a default for ba-BA: http://www.sarajevo-x.com/rssfeeds

What do you think?
Althought Sarajevo-X does have high popularity in Bosnia, I am wondering if the demographic information from Alexa endorses whether or not this is the best site to provide our daily news feed updates. It seems like the site might be disproportionately popular for young males, 18-24 years old. Is there another news site that might have a broader appeal? This is not to say that we can't go with Sarajevo-x, but it might be best to research if there are any other options with a broader audience.
If you take a look at http://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries/BA you will see that it's fifth ranked in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The next most popular news portal is Dnevni Avaz ranked 11th on the list, but the audience seems to be pretty similar to Sarajevo-x's one.
OK, good points. If you think Sarajevo-X is the best, and since numbers do show a high popularity in Bosnia, let's go with it.

Kerim, we'll need to send an email to Sarajevo-X asking them permission to ship them as the default feed for our "Live Bookmark" feature. OK? You should make it clear that their servers may receive a big increase in traffic, depending on the Bosnian version uptake.

To add some detail, individual Bosnian versions of Firefox will ping their servers every second looking for updates for the Live Bookmarks feature. This increase in load should be noted so they are aware that if the user base grows, traffic to their servers will increase.
Seth, could you write an email in English then send it to me and I will translate it into Bosnian and send it to Sarajevo-x?

Thanks in advance!
Mail finally sent to Kerim to translate and send to Sarajevo-X.
Hi Kerim -- Any updates here? Did you hear from Sarajevo-X?
I am waiting for a reply to my email in which I asked for permission to add them as our Live Bookmark. Hopefully will have it by the end of the week...
I got the response in which MojPortal gives us permission to use their RSS feed for Latest Headlines. RSS feed URL is http://www.mojportal.ba/rssfeed/7
Cool, thanks.

I see a series of validation errors on that feed, http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http://www.mojportal.ba/rssfeed/7. Can you forward those? It's always better to be safe there to avoid interoperability problems.
Sent to them and now they're working on it.
Depends on: 677197
They've made some good progress, filed bug 677197 for the actual IT work.

Can you forward the permission email to milos so that we've got a copy, too? Thanks.
Sure, will forward it to Milos.
Redirect is up, marking FIXED.
