This is a port from Bug 590179 to comm-central. Mozilla-central switched the MOZ_OPTIMIZE_FLAGS for Mac builds to "-O3 -fomit-frame-pointer". This gives a performance win (#17).
I've tested this with a Thunderbird trunk build on Mac OS X 10.6 and I couldn't see any negative effect. But it makes the build a bit more slippy.
