Same scenario as Bug 507222 - Trackpoint middle button scrolling is no longer working on Minefield nightly build again on XP 32-bit.    I'm guessing this is tied to  Bug 589529.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Thinkpad T61 with XP SP3 and Synaptics 14.0.18.0  12/3/2009 drivers   (as supplied by Lenovo System Update tools)
2. Load Minefield 20100830
3. Attempt to scroll a long page
Actual Results:  
Cursor turns to "up/down" scrolling icon, but does not scroll viewport

Expected Results:  
Viewport should scroll
What is the changeset id (from about:buildconfig)?

This is likely a dupe of 589529.
Wondered where that was hidden these days...

I have the same problem with a Thinkpad X32, running Minefield 4.0b5 in Win XP. Problem did not exist on previous builds of Minefield, and only began the last week of August 2010. Problem is only with Minefield; mouse page scrolling works normally in Chroma browser and other apps.
Try pulling down a newer Minefield build.   Builds past Aug. 31 should now have the appropriate fix.   Check your "Help -> About Minefield" and the "Gecko/" line in the pop-up window.
Installed latest Minefield, Gecko/20100902.  Mouse scrolling is still dead, and cursor doesn't even turn to "up/down" scrolling icon.
Hmm, WFM on 20100902 on T61.

As per Bug 507222, you've got ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled to -1 in your about:config?

What version of the Synaptics drivers are you running?  You might need to give Kyle another place in the Registry to search for a valid hint to activate the hack   (Bug 514927).
I also don't get the "up/down" cursor icon change either, but the scrolling action itself does work.
Bug 593207 opened for icon problem
No Synaptics drivers on the X32, but I updated the Lenovo Trackpoint driver from version 4.67 to the latest version 4.72. Scrolling now works again in Minefield (still no "up/down" cursor icon though). Thanks for the suggestion to check the driver version.
