We should release FlightDeck 1.0a5. Per the development plan <https://wiki.mozilla.org/Labs/Jetpack/FlightDeck/1.0a5>, the target release date is Monday, September 5. Use this bug to track tasks that need to be done to release the product, like staging a release candidate (bug 592529), pushing the release candidate to production (bug 592539), notifying relevant parties about it, and performing a post-mortem after the release. Use bug 592537 to track code blockers for the release.
Note: I have changed the tentative release date to next Thursday, September 9 in order to give us a full week of baking on the staging server.
I've just fixed a nasty bug - adding SDK was adding new Package instead of version. http://github.com/zalun/FlightDeck/commit/29968d615b23d65e095bc8b1b0c02c68f96568e2 It's fixed now, please update the staging server from release-1.0a5
Zandr has restaged the app, including recloning the production database to the staging database and reloading the 0.6 and 0.7 SDKs into the database. Piotr: can you verify that the problem you reference in comment 3 has now been fixed? Unfortunately, we still have a blocker bug that isn't yet fixed, which puts the release date at risk.
It was working on mine however I made one assumption: git checkout release-1.a5
The last blocker has now been resolved. I'd like to push 1.0a5 to production tomorrow; I'll talk to Zandr to see if that's feasible.
Zandr says we can push to production tomorrow, so that's when we'll do it.
