User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.2; WOW64; rv:2.0b4) Gecko/20100818 Firefox/4.0b4 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.2; WOW64; rv:2.0b4) Gecko/20100818 Firefox/4.0b4 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Look at the following code: javascript:void window.open("http://google.com/","example","toolbar=no"); In the opened window you can open tabs by right-clicking on a link and selecting "Open in new tab" or by using the middle mouse button. There is however not created a list of open tabs, so the only way to switch tabs is to use keyboard shortcuts like CTRL+TAB or CTRL+W. I'm using Firefox 4.0 Beta 4. Should I create a separate bug report? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a new window using window.open, with the third argument being a string containing "toolbar=no". 2. In the opened window, middle-mouse-button-click on a link, right click on a link and select "Open in a new tab", or in some other way, open a new tab. Actual Results: No tabs bar shows up, so you can't walk through your tabs using your mouse. The newly opened tab does however exist, which can be proven by pressing CTRL+TAB. Expected Results: A tabs bar shows up, or, you shouldn't be able to open new tabs in a toolbar=no window. I'm running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. It's based on Windows Server 2003, but has several features from Windows XP. Should I set "Platform" to XP, Server 2003 or Other?
Ignore the "Should I create a separate bug report?" question in my description, I forgot to remove it.
duplicate of Bug 586234 ?
Hmm yes, I believe so. Sorry about that, that bug did not show up in my search. I find his description lacking, I shall mark this as duplicate and post my description as a comment on that bug.
