Foxit Reader have started providing a plugin for Firefox. We should support it. Info from about:plugins: Foxit Reader Plugin for Mozilla File: C:\Program Files\Mozilla\Nightly\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\npFoxitReaderPlugin.dll Version: 1.0.1.1117 Foxit Reader Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape MIME Type Description Suffixes application/pdf Acrobat Portable Document Format pdf
Foxit Reader added on stage for Firefox on Windows only. Ready for testing/QA on http://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ (Note: testing should be performed after 06:00 Pacific today, as there are additional changes which won't be reflected until then due to caching). Foxit Reader can be downloaded from http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/reader4.php. Note that the installer app bundles the Ask.com toolbar, and you'll need to decline accepting it (which will not abort the install, just prevent installation of toolbar).

http://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ tells me that Foxit Reader is "Outdated Version" which I think is wrong I have the latest version From about:plugins: Foxit Reader Plugin for Mozilla File: C:\Program Files\Mozilla\Nightly\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\npFoxitReaderPlugin.dll Version: 1.0.1.1117 Foxit Reader Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape
Version I have now is 2.0.0.112, downloaded today from the Foxit Software site. Could you verify that you have the latest version installed, and confirm? If it's still different, please let me know what version of Windows (Family & Platform) you're using?
Foxit Reader Plugin for Mozilla Foxit Reader Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 2.0.0.1102 is identified as up to date on Firefox for Windows. Safari, Chrome and Opera are unable to identify it as up to date

Probably the 1102. I'll address that now. (In reply to comment #4) > Foxit Reader Plugin for Mozilla > Foxit Reader Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 2.0.0.1102 is identified as > up to date on Firefox for Windows. > Safari, Chrome and Opera are unable to identify it as up to date
(In reply to comment #4) > Foxit Reader Plugin for Mozilla > Foxit Reader Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 2.0.0.1102 is identified as > up to date on Firefox for Windows. > Safari, Chrome and Opera are unable to identify it as up to date For other browsers, it looks like the version chain being returned is null, so we're not able to support it without some changes to the plugin detection code (if it's possible at all). ozten, any ideas? will it require updates of the plugindetect script info, which is now at 0.7.5
(In reply to comment #6) > For other browsers, it looks like the version chain being returned is null, so > we're not able to support it without some changes to the plugin detection code > (if it's possible at all). Other browsers do not provide a version property, so it is null. Supporting them is difficult or not impossible. How to fix: Please add the version string to the description of Foxit. This works across browsers.
