1. go to the awesome screen by clicking into the awesome bar
2. click on the history tab

Expected : 
No virtual keyboard
Actual : 
Virtual Keyboard appears

Note:
1. does not occur when going from the History tab to Bookmarks tab or the Bookmark tab to the History tab
2. occurs when going from the All pages to the bookmarks tab.

Occurs when going from "All pages" tab to "Bookmarks tab" or "All pages" to "History" tab.  I can attach a video if needed.

additional note : there has to be some text in the awesome bar to show this issue.

Found that the text is highlighted in the awesome bar when in the "All Pages" tab, so when going to another tab, it will end up confirming the url and bring up the virtual keyboard.  When in the "Bookmarks tab" or the "History tab" the text is not highlighted in the awesome bar, so the virtual keyboard does not get invoked when switching to any other tab from the bookmarks or history tabs.

I think this is the expected behavior.
When you are in the "All Pages" panel you can edit text and filter the results but when you switch pane you cannot do it anymore so we dismiss the VKB.

Does it makes sense or does it seems weird to you?

The filtering is definitely a great notion and I see the need for the virtual keyboard in the All Pages for the filtering results.

I am not sure if I understand the current behavior.
Previous behavior the virtual keyboard appeared after clicking on the bookmarks or the history tab from the all pages.  Current behavior (09202010) is that the keyboard appears quickly and starts filtering before you can select any of the other tabs from the All Pages panel.

If you can't filter in the Bookmarks, History and Desktop panes, then yes, the virtual keyboard should be dismissed. I'm mostly confused as to why you can't do that, though :/

Things should be better when 596614 will land, I've not been able to reproduce it with this patch
