This random crash occured when I was viewing my account information at
www.trowprice.com. This happened just once and did not occur again when I tried
a couple of times.

This problem appears to be fixed up using PSM 1.4 which
allows you to disable TLS. Sun QA have asked to keep this
bug open for two more weeks to see if they can reproduce
it some other way.

Yep. The Sun QA people have not indicated that the problem has
returned, so I believe it's fixed, and can be closed.
