The dialog box prompting to open or save a download does not appear after I click on the download link. Any download link will not work. However, after clicking the link, the page continues to load if I keep it opened. Once the download has finished, then only the dialog box prompting to save the download will appear and the download will download within seconds.

Reproducible: Always

It goes back to normal. But it could happen again

I've tried this solution I found on http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_save_or_download_files
(Reset toolbars and controls. If the dialog box prompting you to open or save a download does not appear, the issue may be a corrupt localstore.rdf file. Either delete (or rename) the "localstore.rdf" file in the Firefox profile folder or use the Firefox Safe Mode option, "Reset toolbars and controls".)

But it didn't work.
