Connected to VPN network to access local intranet sites which actually do not have an entry of www suffix
Using FF 4.0 Beta5 (also i remember using older FF 4.0.x versions) i see that browsing intranet websites (without www suffix in DNS entry) FF adds up www.<hostname>.<domainname> and says Address Not Found
Note: DNS do not have www.<hostname>.<domainname> it is just <hostname>.<domainname>
Any help to stop FF adding www suffix in the lookup
Reproducible: Always

- Mozilla tries a lookup of your internal address using the OS domain resolver.
You can control that if you use nslookup on the commandline (example: "nslookup privateserver" )
if that fails and just then it will use domain guessing :https://www.mozilla.org/docs/end-user/domain-guessing.html
if that fails it will report an error message but with the ww and com added -> bug 66183
Domains without subdomain (for example www) and without TLD (.com as example) are working for me.
