From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.16-22enterprise i686; en-US; m18) Gecko/20001107 Netscape6/6.0 BuildID: 20001108 When downloading a file via ftp login with an unknown extension (i.e. .jjj or .xvi file) on the Mac build, an Unknown Error appears and no file is downloaded. This only happens when ftp downloading files with a login, and not via anonymous ftp. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Note: this is a Netscape Internal Testcase 1. Start Netscape 6 Mac client (build tested 20001108) 2. ftp login to my linux box elektra ftp://you_user_id@elektra.mcom.com/tmp/ftp-test/ Download the two files file1.xvi file2.jjj 3. Unknown error dialog box appears, file isn't downloaded *File is downloaded on Windows and Linux Actual Results: Doesn't download unknown file type, it gives an Unknown Error message Expected Results: It should download unknown file type to specified directory. I have the same two files available via anonymous ftp at ftp://elektra/pub, Mac N6 downloads the files correctly

This is fixed on the current trunk builds (May 10 Mozilla build was tested). Handling of downloading unknown file types has changed on current builds. I was able to download he files with no problems using that build. Option to Save to disk was available, files saved with no error. resolving bug as worksforme
