Formatted html comments in a page I was beginning to write are being displayed unintentionally. Specifically, this example displays the comment:

<!-- ------------------ END center me -->

unintentionally.

This seems to be reproducible always, tested in FF and Safari 312:52521 (dated Safari installation) and only occurs in FF.

Observations:
The length of the closing hyphen strings(sections with continuous hyphens) seems to affect things as does removing the initial xml version declaration.  (Hope I didn't make some noob error here ><; )

As time permits, will test what other conditions affect the comment display and post back as appropriate.
