currently the line shows up pretty obviously, but you have to visually hunt for the horizontal movement.

if the color contrasted more with the base color of the bar, it might signal progress in periphal vision better.

This is particularrily problematic with some Linux themes. Pretty much you can't see the progress line at all.

I'm all for using the bright green that was used in the Windows mockups. It's bright and easy to see, and it's not like much else in the location bar matches the native platform theme... And IMHO the green looks nice.
