The Fennec UI needs to be updated to ask for the email address / user name and set Weave.Service.account.

Verified fix on Mozilla/5.0 (Maemo; Linux armv71; rv:2.0b7pre) Gecko/20100924 Firefox/4.0b7pre Fennec/2.0b1pre.
if someone has an android device, please verify the fix there.
