Steps to reproduce on 4.0b7pre OS X 10.6:
1. Get to the first time setup "Sync Key" dialog titled "Minefield Cares About Your Privacy".
2. Click once on the sync key to highlight it.
3. Navigate to the application menu ("Minefield" or "Firefox"), select the folder "Services", select the option "Make New Sticky Note".
4. Observe that Stickies.app opens, and creates a new sticky with the sync key.
5. Switch back to 4.0b7pre.
BUG: The "Continue" button is still disabled.
If I had selected "Create New Note with Text", then that note would be synced to my iPhone automatically, where I could copy paste it into Firefox home -- but I still wouldn't have an enabled "Continue" button.
I nearly reported this bug as "first time setup is completely busted". It took me a couple minutes to work out that I was expected to click on of the Print/Save/Email buttons. I think this issue will decrease the number of Sync users.

I'd agree that it won't be obvious to everybody right away how to proceed from that page. As a stopgap we should consider
* enabling the Continue/Next button once the Sync Key has been focused. This indicates the user copied it to the clipboard or used the Services menu to back it up some other way,
* focusing the Save button as the page is displayed (Print button works too, of course, but I think Save as the default makes more sense)
CCing Faaborg for feedback on this.
Note that the wizard is still lacking some styling. In particular, the box with the backup notice and the Print + Save buttons (Email is gone as of today) will be highlighted.
OS: Mac OS X → All
Hardware: x86 → All
Summary: Continue button disabled even after i send my sync passphrase to Stickies.app → Continue button disabled on Sync Key wizard page after manual backup

yeah, this should be the main way that we indicate to users how to proceed, this box should be styled so that it draws the user's attention. Setting save as the focused control is good as well (in case they just hit the enter key).

that's fine

* Focus Save button upon displaying the page.
* Allow the wizard to proceed once the passphrase box has been focused once (we assume the user did this to copy'n'paste the generated Sync Key)

Note that this bug is about the add-on UI (because it landed on fx-sync), not the integrated Firefox UI
