599556 - [10.6] HD Videos on apple.com/trailers don't open with Quicktime

Seen while running  Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b7pre) Gecko/20100924 Firefox/4.0b7pre with Quicktime 7.6.6.

STR:
1. Start Firefox with a fresh profile.
2. Load the site in the url and click on one of the "HD' Video links.

Expected: It would open with Quicktime as it does in Chrome and Safari, and Firefox 3.6.x, using Quicktime.
Actual: Nothing happens.

This does work using 10.5 and the same version of Quicktime.

I checked another 10.6 machine and was able to reproduce the issue there as well.

Weird, I see the problem as reported, but when I tweak the URLs that the links point to, I am able to play the videos.

[1] http://trailers.apple.com/movies/sony_pictures/takers/takers-tlr2_h.320.mov (plays fine)
[2] http://trailers.apple.com/movies/sony_pictures/takers/takers-tlr2_h480p.mov (doesn't play, just redirects)

[3] http://trailers.apple.com/movies/independent/letmein/letmein-tlr1_480p.mov?width=848&height=352 (plays fine)
[4] http://trailers.apple.com/movies/sony_pictures/takers/takers-tlr2_480p.mov?width=848&height=352 (tweaked url from [2] with pattern from [3] and works - removed "h" and added width and height)

I reproduced the initial problem on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.0b7pre) Gecko/20100924 Firefox/4.0b7pre.
This is no longer reproducible on latest nightly 21.0a1 2013-02-11 with Quicktime 7.6.6
